Why hypnotherapy is the best way to stop smoking

If you’ve ever tried to quit smoking, you know it can be a stressful and difficult process. You may have tried nicotine patches, gum, or even going cold turkey; however, you may not have heard of one of the most effective ways to quit smoking - hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapy has become an increasingly popular method for quitting smoking due to its positive results and lasting effects. Let’s take a look at why hypnotherapy is such an excellent choice for quitting and how it can benefit you in the long run.

How Does Hypnotherapy Work?

Hypnosis is a state of relaxation that allows your subconscious mind to open up and receive suggestions from your conscious mind. In essence, hypnosis helps to “reprogram” your brain so that your thoughts about smoking are replaced with new healthier behaviors. The goal is to remove the triggers that make you crave cigarettes and replace them with healthy alternatives like exercise or deep breathing. This process takes time but ultimately leads to real behavioral change, which will help you stay smoke-free for good.

The Benefits of Hypnotherapy

Unlike other methods of quitting smoking like nicotine patches or going cold turkey, hypnotherapy works on both the physical and psychological levels. That means it targets cravings as well as negative thought patterns that may be causing you to want to smoke in the first place. Furthermore, hypnosis can help reduce stress levels and increase confidence; both of which can be essential when trying to kick the habit for good. Finally, hypnosis is completely natural and non-invasive; making it one of the safest options available for those who want to quit smoking without compromising their health or wellbeing in any way.

Conclusion:

Hypnotherapy offers smokers a safe and effective way to quit without relying on potentially harmful medications or supplements. It works by targeting both physical cravings as well as psychological triggers; helping individuals gain control over their behavior while also reducing stress levels and increasing self-confidence in their ability to stay smoke-free for good! If you are looking for an all-natural way to quit smoking once and for all, then hypnotherapy might just be what you need! Give it a try today!

The Power of Hypnotherapy for Runners

Hypnotherapy is an increasingly popular form of therapy used to help improve physical and mental health. It works by harnessing the power of suggestion, allowing people to access their inner strength and achieve their goals. This can be especially useful for runners, who often need a little extra boost to get out and hit the pavement. Here’s what you need to know about hypnotherapy for running.

How Hypnotherapy Works

Hypnotherapy works by putting the client in a relaxed state and using positive suggestions to help them access their subconscious mind. During this relaxed state, clients are more open to suggestion and can begin to tap into hidden strengths they didn’t realize they had. The therapist may use visualizations or guided images that allow the client to imagine themselves succeeding in whatever task they are trying to accomplish—in this case, running.

The Benefits of Hypnotherapy for Running

The benefits of hypnotherapy for running are numerous. For starters, it can help with goal setting and motivation. By tapping into their subconscious minds, runners can visualize themselves achieving their goals—whether it’s running a marathon or simply getting out for a daily jog—and develop the confidence needed to make those dreams a reality. Additionally, hypnotherapy can help runners strengthen their focus, allowing them to maintain concentration even when faced with setbacks or fatigue on the track or trail. Finally, hypnotherapy can also reduce stress and anxiety associated with competing or training for long-distance events.

In short, if you’re looking for an extra boost as you work toward meeting your running goals, consider giving hypnotherapy a try! Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just starting out on your journey, it could be just the thing you need to unlock your full potential on the track—and beyond! For runners looking for an edge over their competition (or just wanting an extra push), hypnotherapy may be worth exploring further.

The Power of Hypnosis in Boxing

The Power of Hypnosis in Boxing

Blog Introduction: Boxers are a special breed. They have to be mentally tough and physically strong. To succeed, they must master their technique, stay focused on the task ahead, and maintain a level head even in the most heated of battles. But what if there was an extra weapon in a boxer's arsenal? What if hypnosis could help boxers take their performance to the next level? Let's take a look at how hypnosis can be used to enhance physical and mental performance in boxing.

The Physical Benefits of Hypnosis

Research has shown that hypnosis can help athletes increase strength and endurance by teaching them relaxation techniques that allow them to push their bodies further than they normally would. This is done by helping athletes learn how to listen to their bodies, identify areas where they are struggling, and then use visualization techniques to visualize themselves succeeding despite those obstacles. By practicing these techniques regularly, boxers can train their minds for peak performance during competition.

The Mental Benefits of Hypnosis

Hypnosis also has mental benefits for boxers. It helps them clear away distractions and focus on the task at hand. It can also help boxers develop better control over their emotions and reactions to situations in the ring—allowing them to stay calm when faced with adversity or difficult opponents. And because it helps boxers become more aware of their own thought patterns, it can help them recognize anxiety-related behaviors before they become issues—helping them stay confident when facing challenges inside or outside the ring.

Hypnosis is not just something out of movies or books—it’s an incredibly powerful tool that boxers can use to gain an edge over their opponents both physically and mentally. With regular practice, it can help boxers relax more quickly, increase strength and endurance during training sessions, focus more intently during matches, and remain composed even when faced with adversity or difficult opponents. All in all, hypnosis is one weapon every boxer should consider adding to his or her arsenal if they want to achieve maximum success in the ring!

People Are Powered By Belief

I wonder if you can accept what I’m going to tell you? I wonder if you can take this deep inside? People are powered by beliefs… If you accept that your belief in yourself is more important than anything else... You will understand what you need to prioritise… The question is? Do you need experience to create belief or can you create belief without experience?

If you can say it, then you can believe it, then you shall receive it…

Belief comes first, that’s right it’s an inside job…

From the beginning of its conception the idea of the four-minute mile seemed like a too lofty ideal to break... No one thought it was possible… People had the idea that the 4-minute mile was a beyond human limitation... So no one ever came close, no matter how close people came they were limited by the belief it was impossible…

Perhaps this was a cultural limiting belief? The accepted belief was that your heart would burst due to rapid combustion…

One man ‘Roger Bannister’ was able to suspend this cultural belief and ask himself what if it was possible? What’s if I could run a 4-minute mile?

From that thought came a belief that he indeed could run a four-minute mile... Eventually through creating a laser focus and taking massive action in the direction of his goal he achieved the four-minute mile…

He was the first runner to do it because he had more self-belief than any other runner at the time…

Once that paradigm was broken, six weeks later someone else smashed it and then someone else did it and then someone else, until many people had broken the 4-minute mile many times…

However, what was king, was the thought “What if it could be done” from that question came belief…

The question ‘what if it could be done?’…

Once you acknowledge this, when you become conscious of the right questions you need to ask yourself… Then and only then, you’re going to create that laser focus and tunnel vision…

Then you’ll develop the confidence which turns into belief and then anything is possible…

You don’t need to be great to start but you need to start to be great…

As Muhammad Ali used to say… “I always said I was the greatest even before I became the greatest.”

I’m not saying you need to be the greatest. Even Roger Banister wasn’t great when he first started he had to make mistakes to become great, and guess what? That’s how we learn… Win or learn…

Roger Banister was so passionate about the fact he was born to run and this made it easier to persist in the belief that he would achieve his goals…

One thing you must remember, whether you think you can do something or whether you think you can’t you’re probably right… If you create a big enough goal and then break it down into small chunks, with every mile stone accomplished your motivation increases and self-esteem flourishes.

How do you eat and elephant? One bite at a time… And just like a snow ball that rolls down a hill that momentum turns that snow ball into a giant unstoppable force of nature…

Until you take that first step there will always be hesitation. Once you commit to that path then providence moves with you...

Once you allow yourself to believe… Then that belief is yours it belongs to you... it’s yours for the taking… That resource will always be there in your unconscious mind ready and waiting to be activated… Ready to power you…

You will always remember how belief can get you anywhere in life, to believe in yourself you must believe, even if it means taking a leap of faith…

See, hear think and feel yourself doing that thing, until you become driven…

Remember where attention goes energy flows, and by taking action you are making it happen, take massive action in the direction of your goals and you will live the life of your dreams…

Greatness comes from doing all the little things, belief is knowing that you are enough of a character to get things done…

By cultivating discipline, you will create a stronger character... Discipline is not a dirty word, it comes from the word disciple... Self-discipline means to be a disciple of yourself…

A belief is like a solid table made with strong legs, each leg is a reason why that belief is true… Make your self-talk strong and you will have unshakable beliefs…

If you have self-doubts, then you must increase your belief in yourself… When you cultivate this you can do anything…

To become great, say it, believe it, and you will receive it… Then you will know because you will experience it…

Visualisation…

I want you to imagine It’s August 6th 1954 and you are looking down on an athletics track. You can see about 35,000 spectators… This is a race that came to be known as both the “Mile of the Century” and the “Miracle Mile,”

I want you to see Roger Banister at the start line of day he runs a 4-minute mile…

As the gun fires I want you to slip effortlessly into the body of Roger Banister see through the eyes, hear through the ears and feel how good it feels to be Roger Banister on this victorious day…

I WANT YOU TO ACT AS IF YOU ARE ROGER BANISTER

You are feeling tremendously full of running…

Your legs seem to meet no resistance at all…

They are impelled by an unknown force…

It feels like you’re going so slowly, so you impatiently shouted faster…

Landy in front keeps his head and doesn’t change the pace…

You keep on putting one foot in front of the other…

You’re feeling calm and relaxed running with ease and grace...

Your mind runs ahead of your body…

Every time you run you feel it’s an opportunity of a life time…

Lap 2…. You feel so full of running…

Because the leader is running so fast he makes the success possible….

You feel so full of running

“Then you hear a voice in the crowd shouting ‘RELAX’ unconsciously you obey.

You barely noticed the half way point pass in 1 minute 58 seconds…

You are so relaxed…

You’re so relaxed your mind has detached from your body…

You’re in a flow state… So focused on the goal…

Time and space merge into one…

It’s incredible that you can run at this speed without strain…

You’re barely aware of the fact that Chris Chatterway is going into the lead.

At 3/4s of a mile the effort is barely perceptible…

The time is 3minutes 0.7 seconds…

By now you can hear the crowd roaring… The 4-minute mile is possible…

Somehow to do it you have to run the last lap in 59 seconds…

Chattaway leads round the next bend…

Then you pounced past him on the beginning of the back straight…

300 yards from the finish…

You accelerate faster and faster and cross the line in 3.58.8 seconds and achieve the mile of the century the miracle mile, The perfect mile…

Feel what it feels like to be so determined to achieve that level of perfect perfection

The long hours of excellence and training, the years of dedication, never giving up… To always belief in yourself…

Feel that level of belief... Notice where you feel that belief…

Now reach out with your arms and take Roger Banisters beliefs, qualities, abilities and capabilities, and bring them into yourself and make them yours…

As you return to your body now… Bring all of these beliefs and qualities back with you now…

And on the count of three open your eyes… 1,2,3

Ultra-Mind- Visualisation

Right in.

The subconscious mind doesn’t know the difference between a thought, a day dream a dream or reality

When you practice meditation long enough to visualise you will synchronize both hemispheres of the brain.

“When you visualize, then you materialize.”. Denis Waitley.

Keys to Visualisation

· Take long slow deep breaths

· Relax deeply and sink

· See what you see

· Hear what you hear

· Feel what you feel

Visualise everything

· Warming up in the changing room or out on the field or track like a strong confident runner

· Getting to the front of the start line, confident, head up, chest out, shoulders back.

· Feeling and looking calm, collect and confident.

· See yourself getting to the front of the race and staying there.

· Visualise yourself passing your competitors with ease and grace

· See yourself dominate your race, with every person you pass your confidence and belief in yourself grows stronger and stronger.

· Visualise yourself holding your medal held high in victory, and feel how good it feels to win your race.

“Be the flow.” Jay-Z

Zone in, and win

Flow is simply the absence of thinking. Visualisation attracts flow states and reduces anxiety. When you’re in the zone powerful gamma brain waves of create insight are experienced, this will aid in a winning performance.

Ultra Mind- Develop a Laser Focus & Create Tunnel Vision in Running

My years studying boxing helped me to produce champions in amateur, white collar and professional ranks respectively.

One of my biggest highlights was helping a heavyweight boxer in his 3rd, successful attempt to become the British Heavyweight Champion

I used a tool from NLP called ‘modelling’ I modelled the famous Boxing coach of Mike Tyson called Cus D’Amato. By going deep enough into one subject you transcend it.

‘Success leaves clues Jim Rohn’

Now I’ve moved from Boxing hypnotherapy to Running hypnotherapy, from the hurt business to the help business…

Develop a laser focus & create tunnel vision

“Your mind is like a laser guided missile and its goal is its target!”

Paul McKenna

Focus precisely on what your goal is… For example, you might want to run a 5 or a 10k… Or maybe a half marathon or even a whole one, or perhaps you’re training for an Ultramarathon?

If you’re training for a winning time, then great focus on that… Or if you just want to finish, focus on crossing the line…

You have something in your brain called the… RAS (Reticular activating system)

This part of the mind filters out massive amounts of information that’s all around us… We attract the things we spend most of our attention on… Have you ever thought about a particular car and then all of a sudden you see that car everywhere? It’s not magic… The information is always there, but you’re tuning into it on a more focused level… As you think of the colour red you might now start to look around your home and for some strange reason you begin to notice all the red objects in your house… Or perhaps you’re thinking of a person you haven’t seen in a long time and out of the blue they call or message you… That’s RAS.

Focus precisely on what you want… The more you focus on what you want the more you attract it to you… So become crystal clear on your goal… If it’s running a specific time, focus on the winning time… If its winning your race focus on winning… If it’s just finishing, focus on finishing in style… This is an extremely easy thing to do… I talked about affirmations and writing down your goals in the previous blog…

Also if you’re training for a race, cut out any unnecessary activity outside of the race. As the date of the race gets closer your focus becomes stronger. Explain to family and friends about your focus, so they understand your mental preparation… Cut out any unnecessary distractions for example; fasting from social media a few days before the race…

Laser your focus and create a tunnel vision… Many winning performances come about because the athlete has created a laser focus on his or her goal. This also has the added benefit of creating flow states or zone performances on the day making you much more likely to achieve your desired goal.

“The best way to predict the future is to create it.” Abraham Lincoln

A champion runner doesn’t become a champion when he or she wins a race… A champion runner becomes a champion many months or years before projecting him or herself forward into the future as champion runner in the present.

There was a study done on the importance of visualisation in sports which proves that visualisation is 1% less than physical training…

http://www.breakthroughbasketball.com/mental/visualization.html

In the experiment a basketball coach split his team into 3 groups; one group practiced free throws everyday over a period of time… The second group only visualized scoring free throws… The third group did nothing… As you probably can imagine the group that did nothing did not improve, which was to be expected… The first group improved by 24% and the third group that only visualized scoring free throws improved by 23%… Visualisation is 1% less than physical training.

Imagine your time line (Visualisation exercise)

If it’s safe to do so close your eyes…

Take 3 deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth…

Think about the future in your mind…

Think of a running activity you’re going to do next week…

Road, trail, cross country, beach running…

Take some more deep breaths, and you will find it becomes easier to relax and see the things I suggest….

See what you see, hear what you hear and feel what you feel…

Notice where the images are in your mind… Is it in front? To the left, right, up or down?

If you’re in first person great, if not? See yourself running… See what you see, hear what you hear and feel what you feel…

Step into the image and really associate with it, climb inside of the future you and see yourself running… See through the eyes of the runner…

Again see what you see, hear what you hear and feel how good you feel…

This time make the colours brighter, the sounds louder and the feelings stronger…

Look down at your watch and see the winning time…

See yourself passing other people with ease and grace…

See yourself winning your race, and feeling how good it feels…

Then make those powerful feelings 10 times stronger, pumping up all those endorphins to higher and higher levels of success, now at the same time rub your thumb and finger together and anchor that powerful feeling into your mind and body…

Now you can activate this powerful feeling when you need it most… And the more you practice stacking these powerful emotions together the more you become a super athlete… The more likely you will enter the zone and achieve your desired goal…

Visualization is 1% less than physical training… This is because the neurons in your brain fire in exactly the same way when you visualize as when you perform a physical activity

Running is 75% mental and emotional and 25% physical

Winning is always the number one thing to focus on in boxing and if you’re a runner or training for a race then this is also, as important.

So, the competitive runner just like the boxer must set a clear goal to win his/her race.

A simple exercise a runner can do is to write down ten times a day on paper that he/she will win their race at the place on the day and date.

Also, affirm this in the mirror 10 times a day with emotion, tone and inflection…

Take the wish out of the secrecy of the mind and just like an affirmation say it as if its already true, this will drive the desired outcome deep into the unconscious part of the mind making the outcome more likely.

An affirmation is simply saying something that isn’t true as if its already happened.
